Halloween Guidelines from Dr. Behr

October 27, 2022

Dear Schreiber Community,

As Halloween approaches, I want to remind everyone about our expectations for what can be an exciting and fun instructional day. With careful planning, we can safely and appropriately enjoy the student and staff festivities as a school community on Monday, October 31st. Here are the guidelines for costumes and behavior:

  • While students are allowed to wear a PPE mask for COVID safety purposes, no students are permitted to wear additional face coverings or face paint that would obscure their identity.
  • All costumes must be appropriate for school and conducive to a positive learning environment. Students wearing costumes deemed offensive, insensitive, disruptive, provocative, or politically charged will be asked to change their clothes before attending class.
  • Monday will be a full day of instruction. All students should be prepared for their classes regardless of their attire. Students interfering with instruction or disrupting the school day will be subject to disciplinary measures like any other day.
  •

With your cooperation, Halloween can be a wonderful and inclusive experience at Schreiber. I look forward to lots of creativity and a successful day!

Sincerely,
