Dear Members of the Class of 2029 (and parents too!),
I am very excited to be welcoming you to Schreiber High School. I am sorry that I missed you at the June orientation but I heard amazing things about you. You were very well behaved, did a great job of following directions, and listened attentively. This is an excellent start. I have also heard terrific things about you from the administrators at Weber. I am confident we will have a great four years together.
On Wednesday, August 27th, we will be hosting a brief orientation session nicknamed “Bagels and Locks.” We will be providing you a light bagel breakfast and you will have an opportunity to check out your assigned locker and try the combination lock. Sorry, no lox, just locks! You will also be spending time with the peer leaders who will try to give you the 411 on just how things work at Schreiber. Here is the schedule for the day:
10:00 – 10:30 Bagel Breakfast
10:30 – 10:45 Meeting with Mr. Weiss
10:45 – 11:00 Head to your assigned rooms to meet with Peer Leaders

11:00 – 12:00 Meet with Peer Leaders in Classrooms
- Discussion of how things work at Schreiber.
- How your schedule works.
- Finding your locker and trying your lock
- Fill out “Student Information Card”
- Explanation of the first day schedule.
- Tour of the building
It is a nice, light and simple schedule but it should help you to make a smooth transition on the first day of school. If you cannot make it, don’t worry too much. We will always be here to help you.
