Qualifications for Science Honor Society
At the end of the Sophomore year students are invited into the Science Honor Society if they meet the following criteria:
A Student must have:
1) A final course average of B+ or higher in Honors Biology or a final course average of A or higher in Regents Biology ( from 9th grade).
2) A final course average of B+ or higher in Honors Math or a final course average of A or higher in Regents Math ( from 9th grade).
3) A student must have a B+ or higher in their Quarter 1 & Quarter 2 grades for Honors Chemistry or an average of A or higher in a Regents Science ( in the 10th grade).
4) A student must have a B+ or higher in their Quarter 1 & Quarter 2 for Honors Math or an average of A or higher in Regents Math ( in 10th grade).
5) Two recommendation forms completed. One from a Science teacher and one from a Math teacher
