AP Program (Advanced Placement) » Welcome

Welcome

September 2023

Dear AP Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! The College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) program enables students to participate in rigorous college-level coursework while in high school. Students enrolled in AP courses must take the corresponding AP exam in the spring. Scoring well on an AP exam may help students to earn college credit, place into higher level classes, and offer significant tuition savings.

For the 2024 exam administration, students must self-register through their College Board account and submit payment through our RevTrak Paysite.  Please follow the 2-part process outlined below to register and pay for AP exams:

Part I - REGISTRATION:

Students must log into their MY AP College Board account to self-register for each exam corresponding with AP courses in their schedule. Students with an existing College Board account will use their credentials to login and register for this year’s AP courses. Students taking an AP course for the first time must create a new account. Teachers will provide “Join Codes'' for students to register for specific class sections. Please visit AP Classroom to login and register.

Please see the tips below to access/create your College Board account

College Board Account Tips

You need a College Board account to join your AP class section, receive AP assignments from your teacher, and register for AP Exams. If you don’t already have an account, please sign up at: www.collegeboard.org/register. We recommend that you create an account, not your parents, as you’ll need to access AP Classroom resources. Keep your account information in a safe place that only you can access.

DO YOU ALREADY HAVE AN ACCOUNT? All College Board programs are connected through one account, so if you created one for AP, NMSQT, SAT, or College Board Opportunity Scholarships, you’re all set. Use your credentials to sign in.

IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE SIGNING INTO YOUR ACCOUNT

If you can't remember your username or password, follow the "Forgot username or password?" on www.myap.collegeboard.org to reset your credentials.

● lf a family member set up your account, ask them for the login information. You may want to sit with them while you sign in.

● If you can’t remember the answers to your security questions, see if a family member has them.

If you’ve followed all the steps to get your username or password and still can’t access your account, you’ll be able to create an interim account.

If you need assistance with your password/account, call the College Board at 866-315-6068.

Part II - PAYMENT:

The cost of an AP exam is $100. For payment by credit or debit card, please visit SCHREIBER’S PAYSITE to pay for exams. If you wish to pay by cash or check, please secure the funds in an envelope labeled with Student’s Name, AP Exams for which you are paying, and the total amount paid and submit to Mrs. Anisis in the main office.

AP EXAM REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT MUST BE SUBMITTED BY OCTOBER 16TH.

Please note the following

  • Students are required to take the AP exam for the AP course(s) in which they are enrolled.
  • AP Teachers can assist students with the online registration process via www.myap.collegeboard.org and will provide Join Codes specific to their class section.
  • The College Board charges a $40 fee PER EXAM for registrations or cancellations after November 15.

For any additional questions, please visit the College Board website or contact Ms. Anisis at [email protected]. Thank you for your support, and best wishes for a great school year!
