Welcome to Schreiber High School Counseling and Guidance!

The Paul D. Schreiber High School Guidance Department consists of nine school counselors and three clerical support staff.  Counselors work with students and families throughout the school day. to provide academic and social-emotional , ranging from academic and social support to personal and overall wellness/development.                                                                                                                                     

Students are assigned to a school counselor in 9th grade and remain with their counselor for all four years of high school.  Counselors support all students and meet with students to conduct an individual progress review, and customize plans that will best meet their educational objectives, as well as address student social emotional needs.  Goal setting, resume building, career readiness, and future planning are just to name a few of the topics that counselors engage with their counselees.

The guidance department sponsors a number of events, including workshops on academic advisement, course scheduling, Naviance, mock interviews, transition, college planning, financial aid, and other related counseling programs. Information is also available regarding community service, summer opportunities, and future preparedness.  The department is also stocked with college and scholarship information, including applications.
