Paul D. Schreiber High School senior Mikayla Schwartz was selected as a finalist for the 2023 International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), held in Dallas, Texas. Mikalya joined over 1,700 students from around the world and presented her research entitled "Understanding the role of empathy on Emergency Medical Services Provider occupational stress and mental health outcomes." Ms. Schwartz was awarded a 2nd place special award by the American Psychological Association.
