Schreiber Theatre Company to stage modern adaptation of Jane Austin’s beloved classic,
Sense and Sensibility, November 21st, 22nd & 23rd
Layered with smart comedy and zany antics, Sense and Sensibility is a modern, bold and playful new adaptation of Jane Austin’s classic novel by award-winning playwright Kate Hamill.Sense and Sensibility follows the lives of the Dashwood sisters - Elinor and Marianne whose fortunes become misfortunes after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Navigating societal pressures and intense gossip, the two young women learn to find love while expressing their own sensibilities. For when reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?
Sense and Sensibility features the talents of cast members Charlotte Brill, Michael Chiu-Portillo, Addison Craig, Micah Detor, Dylan Diamond, Sophie Donovan, Katherine Duarte Recinos, Bella Ertel, Gabriel Jaffe, Evan Matthew Mallari, Aurora Mata, Tamar Montias, Sofia Piza, Maria Psarros, Brigitta Rudegeair, Roberto Saravia, Viktor Straesser and Abigail Zlotoff.
The play is directed by Ms. Christine Nelson with choreography by Ms. Floryn Glass Stock, and dialect coaching by Ms. Elise May. Ms. Lauren Foster-Holzer is the Producer with Mrs. Allison Friedman as Technical Director, and Set Construction and Decorating by Mrs. Helen Albertson and Mr. Richie Albertson. Prop Design and Construction by Mrs. Leah Siskin and Ms. Hannah Siskin and Photography by Mr. Michael Siskin, with Technical Consultation from Mr. Ben Hegarty rounds out the production staff.

Sense and Sensibility has evening performances on November 21st and 22nd at 7:30pm with matinee performances on November 22nd and 23rd at 2:00pm in the Schreiber High School Auditorium.
