The Port Washington Boys Tennis team brought the school community together on Wednesday for its annual “Play with the Teachers: Accepting Autism” event. Team members paired up with teachers and administrators for a friendly doubles tournament while raising money to support ACEing Autism, an organization that helps children with autism through tennis programs.
ACEing Autism’s mission is to help children with autism to grow, develop and benefit from social connections and fitness through affordable tennis programming.
Before the matches began, Port Washington’s INVEST students joined members of the team on the courts for rallies and activities, adding to the day’s spirit of inclusion and community. The event celebrated teamwork, connection, and support for an important cause.
