Schreiber High School Guidance
Welcome to Schreiber High School Counseling and Guidance!
The Paul D. Schreiber High School Guidance Department is made up of eight school counselors and three clerical support staff dedicated to supporting students and families throughout the school day. Our counselors provide a wide range of services, including academic advising, social-emotional support, and guidance for overall wellness and personal development.
Students are assigned a counselor in 9th grade and remain with that counselor through graduation. This continuity allows counselors to develop strong relationships, conduct individual progress reviews, and create personalized plans that support each student’s academic goals, social-emotional needs, and future aspirations. Counselors work closely with students on topics such as goal setting, resume building, career readiness, and post-secondary planning.
The department also hosts a variety of programs and workshops throughout the year, including academic advisement, course selection, Naviance training, mock interviews, college and career planning, financial aid, and transition support. Additional resources are available on community service, summer opportunities, scholarships, and other tools to help students prepare for life beyond high school.
