National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) at Schreiber High School is an officially approved chapter through the National Dance Education Organization (NDEO). “NDEO is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to advancing dance education centered in the arts for people of all backgrounds.” Through our affiliation with NDEO, Schreiber students will have the opportunity to participate in a nationally recognized honor society that celebrates excellence in dance while emphasizing leadership, service, scholarship, and meaningful contributions to the community.

The Schreiber High School Dance Program is committed to empowering students through a comprehensive educational dance experience. Our mission is to cultivate each student's potential in the art of dance while fostering physical, social, emotional, and aesthetic growth. NHSDA builds upon these values by providing students with meaningful opportunities to apply their skills beyond the classroom and studio, and contribute to our school and broader community.

NHSDA serves as an extension of our dance curriculum by recognizing students who embody the qualities identified in our district and state Portrait of a Graduate: creative problem-solvers, effective collaborators, reflective learners, and responsible citizens. Through artistic practice, leadership, and service-based projects, students will develop discipline, creativity, civic engagement, and a deeper appreciation for the impact dance can have on individuals and communities.
