Robotics

    Robotics will focus on models and methods for the design and development of robotic devices whose function is to accomplish prescribed tasks with minimal human intervention.  Emphasis will be on basic robotic elements: simple machines (moving, turning, lifting), sensing the environment (light, contact, proximity) monitoring internal state (time, position, orientation) and incremental design for solving problems.  This course will also develop a good foundation of robotics for those interested in participating in the FIRST Robotics Competition.
