Letters of Recommendation

Many colleges require letters of recommendation.  Pay close attention to your colleges’ requirements; some schools will request letters from particular subject areas, and others will not. Teachers submit letters of recommendation via Naviance.  Important notes to consider include:

• • • Ask the teacher first to write the recommendation before making the request in Naviance.

    • Give the teacher sufficient time to write and submit your letters

    • Follow your colleges’ guidelines.  Do not request more letters from teachers than necessary.
