Bio

 

Mr. Miller is the grade level Assistant Principal for the class of 2024 at Schreiber High School.  He has been in his current position since 2004.  Mr. Miller began his career in public education in the New York City school system serving as a teacher of social studies for six years at Lincoln High School, Fort Hamilton High School and the High School for Telecommunication Arts and Technology.  While at the High School for Telecommunication Arts and Technology, Mr. Miller served as the Dean of Students for four years.After leaving the city schools,  Mr. Miller took a position as a social studies teacher at New Hyde Park Memorial High School and, after four years, accepted his first administrative post as the Chairperson of Social Studies at Herricks High School.  Mr. Miller then served as Assistant Principal at Northport High School for two years prior to coming to Schreiber in the same capacity in 2004.  Mr. Miller has B.A. in Political Science from SUNY Albany, a Masters of Science in Secondary Education from Adelphi University and a Masters of Science in Educational Administration from the College of New Rochelle.  Mr. Miller resides in Merrick with his wife and two children.  Mr. Miller plays ice hockey, coaches youth sports in his community and enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with his family at home.
